Toy-Con 03: Vehicle Kit lets you build bespoke controllers for a car, airplane and submarine which can be played with in the accompanying software.
A release date for the Vehicle Kit was also announced: 14th September. UK pricing wasn't revealed, although in the US, the Vehicle Kit will cost $69.99 - the same price as the Variety Kit, which retails for 50-60 in the UK, and $10 cheaper than the Robot Kit.
The announcement trailer shows a steering wheel being used to drive an off-road buggy, a flight stick to fly a small prop plane, and a device with two control wheels being used to steer a submersible with two rotating motors. A "key" housing a Joy-Con remote is slotted into the controllers to transform one vehicle into another in-game. There's also a pedal that can be used with all three vehicles.
Nintendo says that a second key can be used to invite a "co-pilot" to join the fun: in the video, one player can be seen driving the car while the second uses the flight stick controller to shoot a gun at targets from the back seat.
Judging by the video, the three vehicles can be used to explore an open island environment featuring a number of mini-games and interactions, including races, target practice, giant golf and what appears to be a vehicular version of Nintendo's springy-limb fighter Arms.
Eurogamer's Martin Robinson, who is supposed to be on holiday, got in touch to say of the Vehicle Kit: "I'm selling my T500 Thrustmaster and replacing it with this."
