Another mini review today for the 30000mAh AUKEY Quick Charge 3.0 Portable Charger that is available on Amazon for £42.99.
This is actually a 30000mAh power bank, that’s around 10 times the storage capacity of most phones, so it should have more than enough capacity to keep even the heaviest of users going for a long weekend without relying on a wall charger.
Unfortunately, battery technology has not progressed as quickly as computing technology. You could argue it has not progressed at all in the past decade. So, the monstrous capacity comes a monstrous size. This is easily the largest and heaviest battery pack I have used, not only is it not pocket-friendly I don’t think I could literally fit it in my jean pockets. The size and weight is a given though so I can’t hold that against this, but it does add noticeable weight to my messenger bag when I am out and about on blogging trips. It actually weighs over 500g, which is more than the weight of an iPad Air 2.
As usual with larger packs, you get 2 outputs so you can handle charging 2 devices at once. However, in this case, you also get a lightening input as well as microUSB, so for Apple only users, you are not forced to carry around a microUSB too, which is a nice addition.
Overall it does exactly what every power bank does, and if you need this amount of charge capacity for whatever reason then it is great.
